Galaxy.

If you are a regular reader of this Truth Hurts blog, you may know I'm quite fond of this mashupper dude Djangova. And if you know me personally, then you probably know why I am so fond of this guy. Anyways, his new album is out. It features M83 tracks x various samples. A lot of Weezy in this one. Anyways, cop it here.

Shooting.

I was walking around the cold campus today. I watched the leaves fall and be blown around in the wind. I listened to Santogold and the Beastie Boys talk about doing something or another for the future of a country. It was a little boring so I left. Nature sucks. Contrary to popular belief, nature is all the same. All leaves are the same. All snowflakes are the same. Then I tripped over a dead body contemplating life.

Defense.

http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/1996/success1on9.jpg

I tested out my apartment's newly installed security system this weekend and I think it works pretty well to prevent any more unwanted guests. It is sure to freak anyone away. Unfortunately it doesn't work pretty well after all. After the large foam man fell on them and they got freaked the freak out, they took it along with everything else I own. But anyways, new Djangova soon!

Success.

So I would consider this past Saturday a success for everyone. I got to see a bunch of old friends and discussed our next project, Film This, so be prepared for that one. Everyone's part was pretty sick and of course Roper's part blew everyone's out of the water. We still have a few copies left of Tennis Use Only if any one is interested but their going to be sold at Tony's shop so you can pick one up there if you missed out on the premiere. But just look at Justin and that fat stack.

I'll have more pictures up from that day up on the photo blog once my situation with the president of Flickr gets figured out. As for now, peace out hommies. Haha.

Some Genius.

So about four months ago, my year old MBP just stopped working on me. Literally out of the blue. These little mirroring vertical stripes would run down my screen then the kernal panic would pop up. I brought it to my local genius, Alfred, at the Apple store and he told me it was a problem with my logic board. He ran it on his external through firewire and came up with that conclusion again. Being in the middle of my college semester and applecareless, I needed another computer. So after he told me that it was either $1200 for a repair, I decided to go with a new Macbook instead. Was Alfred supposed to just run diagnostics on it first and not just assume?

Months later, after selling the iPod and printer I got with the MB on craigslist, I put up the old MBP up on eBay for parts. I turn on my MBP one last time just to be sure it really is not working. It really wasn't. No stripes, but just wouldn't go past the empty grey screen. I then zero out the computer with the help of T mode and new new Macbook. After it's done, I turn on the MBP to see the little folder question mark sign. Turn it off and go to bed.

While in bed, I pondered why there was not any stripes and why it went past the first screen into the one with the folder/question mark sign. I then had an idea.

The next morning, using T mode again I use the install disks for the MBP and reinstalled Tiger. Then voila! It works perfectly! Like the first day setting up my Mac. I relived that moment once again. I end the auction on eBay and celebrate that after months of grief in the death and unnecessary birth of two Macs, I get the old one working again.

But why was this? I don't really know much about what goes on inside a computer. Was it because I had too much stuff in the MBP that the memory just failed? I treated my computer with the best care. Did the logic board really fail on me, then by some act of God, fix itself? Why didn't the Genius at the Apple store tell me this option? Why did I go out and drop more money for a replacement to only then have two perfectly working machines. Maybe I'm just venting now that I have to try and sell this MBP I managed to revive. But seriously, anyone know why this happened? I blame Steve Jobs and his brainwashing techniques on his employees.

Some of you have been asking for me to bear all and post pictures of myself. I'm going to assume you are a robot trying to do some reverse advertising or something. I'm also just going to post my desktop for you all. Click it to see the full size. Yeah! This is the one I have for my Black Mac!

uTunes.

It's Fall 2008 and there are some albums that I'm highly anticipating that should be coming out within the next six months. Some may be more of a surprise than others.

First off is the next album by As Cities Burn. They are about three weeks away from finishing the album and I just can't wait. T.J. is still gone so expect more of what you heard with Come Now Sleep. Progressive rock stuff whatever genre at its finest. No joke. I didn't feel like I had to mention Christian. But I just did.

Next is the album in the making of Alison Sudol, better known as A Fine Frenzy. Classic piano pop from a beautiful redhead. This isn't any Sara Bareilles stuff, though I love her too, Alison's music comes with..."thrusting emotion?" It's good, whatever. Check check check the cadence yo.

Next is Mew. They're about to release something right? Their last album came out in 2005! Good thing I wasn't with them since their birth or else I'd be in some serious withdrawal. I still need to get their debut album. Anyways, this TBA album with 15 tracks in consideration should be out...eventually.

Finally, there's E-603. According to his myspace a few months ago, "NEW ALBUM OUT JULY!" According to his myspace in July, "NEW ALBUM OUT AUGUST!" According to his myspace now, "NEW ALBUM OUT SOON!" When will it all end?! That's the thing with mashup technicians, more music comes out they gotsta mash up.

I guess EASTER EGG will have to do for now. He sent me a link to his new album just now, check itzz.

Jackin' For Beats Download

Also, D.C. Kingston. New Song, "Number Six" on his myspace.

Tennis Use Only.

This time next week on October 15th, I'm going to be making a trip up north to prepare to cover and support some old friends with their premiere of Tennis Use Only, a project of the skaters, Justin Whitacre and Goose Ordaz. Documenting all that goes on in the Courts, TUS will feature those who are frequent visitors. Located in Northern Virginia, skaters such as Billy Roper and Ben Hatchell have flipped there. That 18th, starting with a local slam, the video will be projected that night, no where else but at the Courts. Here's are some promos for it. Can you spot me?

Stalker.

Eggbert-1 by you.

Due to the lack of posts recently, some of my readers have complained. I decided to appease them with a temporary post describing what I had been up to. So I walk into my office and sit down to start the blog and I hear a noise from the closet. (Your office doesn't have a closet?) I walk up to it slowly and am able to see the door quiver. All of a sudden the doors burst open and out comes some chick. We make eye contact for a brief millisecond and then she splits. Unfortunately for her, she forgot her camera in the closet.

On another note, I'm hosting a special screening of Andrei Tarkovsky's Stalker this Thursday in my newly renovated theater. It should be a pretty amazing night. Even though it's not entirely Stalker free.

Djangova.

http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/1036/2905979963a0c53c44f5yo4.jpg

Djangova just released another crappy mix. This time it's just a bunch of songs cross-faded together in a single track probably using GarageBand. Sloppily thrown together, the BPM's don't even match. You find yourself dancing to a decent song than having to currently adjust everytime a new song comes in. So bad. But download now here!

I Hate Boxes.

Eggbert-1 by you.

Well first off, I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words, no matter how vacuous and "facebookly" mundane their "happy birthdays" were. Also big thanks for all of the gifts I received, no matter how materialistic and stupid they made me. And of course biggest thanks to my friends real, unimaginary friends who almost know who I really am. Who can decipher most of what I say. I remember how good it was to be six years old, to have a birthday party. It was all about you. You didn't care about anything that day. Young, dumb, stupid. The world could end and you wouldn't care. The ignorance is what I miss. Though life right now has taught me not to be ignorant. Which is just, but sometimes I wish I could just be blind to some things. I wish I could be blind to how some people are. I wish I could not be so objective to see them. I wish I could see past their "D.R.E.A.M." attitude. Plenty of people turn out fine. I wish I wasn't so picky. Maybe I just read too much and live too little. Maybe I just wish too much and act too little. Cash rules everything around me. Cream get the money...
