Drake and Nick.

I got the chance to follow biggest rapper in Richmond backstage to the Drake concert. Nickelus F is releasing his newest and biggest album to date called My Season Premiere and I was lucky enough to be doing some filming for another future project with him releasing soon. He just finished an interview with Complex the day before and was supposed to be one of the guests introduced on stage during the VCU Homecoming Concert. But let's just say that didn't happen. This may remain an untold story to the public but in the meantime, here are a few pics of Drake during the show.

Game Over.

After days of hard, stressful work, Steam Heat has wrapped and is awaiting its trip to the lab for development and color grading. This was the fifth and final summer production apart of VCU Cinema and was shot once again in 35mm with an Arriflex BL3. J&J.

Our second summer production, Jackson and Joseph ended last Saturday at Hampton Beach on time. It'll be exciting to see the end product with the final 15 minute long take. See more pictures over at theworsteyes.

This is a little montage from one of the days on the set of Flicker. We had over seventy extras with dead zombie make-up on even though we couldn't even see it in the final shot.

Great Wraps.

Flicker, this Summer's first production, wrapped on-time yesterday after a week and a half of shooting. We've shot in two different houses, an abandoned Save-A-Lot with hospital zombies, and a concrete cemetery with over 70 dead bodies. We'll continue to trudge on with shooting Jackson and Joseph, and pull focus over 20 foot drops on a ladder, play on car rigs, and shoot some horses. With cameras as well as guns.

Flix.

Summer productions began weeks ago and I tagged along on the shoot of Flicker. We shot inside an actual house. Our actor Ken Peebles' stare pierced through my lens and into my fragile little soul. I've never been more scared. I still don't know if he hates us all or just stays in character. Making him walk through a bunch of dead bodies in a hot concrete field didn't help either. Much Ado About Pie.

This weekend we had production again. We had finished building the set just a few hours before at 4AM. This will be the third sequence apart of "Klepto". More pictures at theworsteyes .

Ghosting.

If you did not know, a few weeks ago I was in a production as the 2nd AC to the first ever 35mm production VCU has had. And if you remembered, I already wrote about this here.

Anyways, this was apart of an impromptu behind the scenes documentary type thing I did when shooting The Persistence of Everything. I shot it all using my D90 with a 50mm and 10.5mm Nikon primes. And when I wasn't behind the camera, either Caleb, Danny, Ian, Forrest, or Gerry was filming.

So TWKs have gotten some "air time", if you can even call it that, on WVCW, VCU's independent radio station. Bill and myself started last Wednesday at 10PM streaming world wide. Barack Obama.

Last night, Barack Obama won the presidency of the United States of America. Change is coming. Hopefully for the better. It'll take a few years though. No matter who you wanted to win, it's over now. It's over and we have a new president who will do his best to bring America out of the shit. We have to stand together as a country. Stand together as a country and demonstrate to the world that America and democracy is the best example of what a solid constitution with properly enforced laws can bring to those who desire freedom and safety. Last night, I conducted an experiment for an upcoming book I am co-writing about robberies. We then robbed some people using peculiar tactics. They all ended up successful and resulted in $152.33. Watch out for this book hitting stores late Fall '09.

Balls.

Yesterday after my entourage and I attended Tae Kwon Do, we played a little basketball in the courts. Two on two, first to seven, win by two, Apt 203 vs Room 206. I won't tell you the end result but I will tell you we are creating a basketball team with a center we found on the streets. Nicolai Nicolove. 6'11''. With a wingspan that of Goliath, the main dude on the show Gargoyles, but the brains of Jabs, the dude one the show Street Sharks, he is sure to crush the opposition. We are the Richmond Rapists and we will e-talkwise rape you. Oh yea. My team won in that one game.

Pleasant Surprise.

So today a few of my friends/important business associates coaxed me into going to the park with them where I was pleasantly surprised with a huge block party. As you can see in the picture above, there was free ice cream given away. As you can't see above, there were people on stilts, fire breathers, a big throne for me to sit on, and the Beach Boys performing. However, no big gathering is left without the jealous rival from a competing agency of less importance, as seen in the background of the picture. Maybe next time sweetheart.
